The deadline for all paper submissions (General Call and Special Sessions) has been extended until December 31st!
We are happy to announce that we have attracted several special sessions featuring invited speakers, a multi-media perspective as well as the possibility to submit papers regarding the special sessions topics. Please find four calls inviting submissions to the following special sessions enclosed:
1) The Residues of Civilization: Radioactive Waste Management and Ethics (call)
2) Religious traditions and environmental conservation (call)
3) Global Water Ethics: Bridging the gap between principles and action (call)
4) Towards Integration: Linking the Discourses on Climate Ethics and Climate Engineering (call)

We are happy to announce that ISEE offers 3 awards
of $500 each to graduate students or other scholars without access to
travel funds from outside to come to Kiel and give a paper. We invite
those who are eligible and would like to apply for the awards to
indicate this with their submission.
Please note that this open call will be followed up by calls for several special sessions shortly!
With this call, we invite scholars from environmental ethics and neighboring disciplines interested in organizing a special session in the course of the conference.
A special session will be allocated 2 hours. Session organizers are free to choose a format, for example:
Submissions should clearly state the topic and connection to the overall conference theme as well as the envisioned format. Submissions should not exceed 500 words. For those formats that specify participants (e.g. the panelist of a panel discussion) a confirmation/statement that they will actually come to Kiel is required. Formats that invite papers will be asked to produce a call for paper to complement the general call for papers at a later stage.
Successful submissions will be granted a waiver of conference fees for one session chair. Beyond this, we cannot offer any additional funding.
